As a whole, Deathly Hallows is a lot darker and gruesome than the other books in the series, filled with plenty of harrowing escapes, character injury and death, betrayal, and a final battle at Hogwarts of epic proportions. Throughout, the line between the light and dark wizards is drawn, and crossed from both sides.

J.K. Rowling brilliantly weaves this intricate tale, incorporating the answers to all the questions and speculations left from the previous books, and yet fitting it into a concise story so well that the reader can see the roots from even the very first book.

This book was a bittersweet ending to the series for all Potter fans, finally tying up all the loose ends and mysteries we had been pondering and debating for over a year. But at the same time, as a Potter fan myself, it brings to a conclusion a chapter of our lives.

Deathly Hallows is a must read for anyone who is a fan of Harry Potter, or enjoys books of the fantasy genre. Be sure to treasure it, for this final installment is the end to a spellbinding series.
