There is a new face for the class Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 and her name is Mrs. Jeanne Morton.

The Star: Hi, Mrs. Morton, Where are you joining us from this year?

Mrs. Morton: I came from teaching Junior’s Algebra 2 pre AP and regular class at Clark High school.

The Star: Oh, so you are from the public school. Why did you decide to come to the Private school like the Incarnate word high school?

Mrs. Morton: I taught so many kids for 30 years. And I retired from the public education. But I couldn’t give up this job because I enjoy being with students and teach them. I just didn’t want to give up the teaching yet.

The Star: That’s really nice reason to be here. And for the personal side, what are your favorite things such as color, movie, and books?

Mrs. Morton: My favorite color is red; my favorite movie is Shaw Shank redemption. And my favorite book, well I like pretty much all the books that are written by Max Lucado, the Christian writer. And my hobbies are hiking and shopping. Also, sometimes if I have some time, I would meet my sons.

The Star: Can you tell us about your sons?

Mrs. Morton: well, I have two sons and I’m very proud of them. They both went to Norte Dame University and one was valedictorian form there. One is in medical school and the other is in navy work in nuclear science department. I like to meet them once a while.

The Star: What advice would you give to the students who have troubles with math?

Mrs. Morton: All I can say is practice. Learning math is like learning musical instrument. You can’t get it done by just watching it, you have to do it by yourself and go over and over again. That would help your math skill to be better.

The Star: Thank you so much for sharing your time with us.
Mrs. Morton: Thank you.
